BC Tripartite Education Agreement (BCTEA)

Introduction
In June 2018, the BC First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC), Canada and British Columbia signed the BC Tripartite Education Agreement (BCTEA), as witnessed by the First Nations Schools Association (FNSA), which reaffirms agreements previously reached related to reporting for First Nations schools in BC.
Specifically, BCTEA includes a commitment that each year First Nations schools are required to provide to FNESC data related to specific performance indicators. FNESC will subsequently share that information in aggregate with the Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) and with First Nations in BC. This commitment represents a significant reduction in comparison to reporting requirements for First Nations in other parts of the country.
First Nation schools can meet this requirement by using this portal.
Completed submissions are due on June 14, 2024.
